SUMMARY
The Data Analytics Manager directs the integration of data analytics and business intelligence across service lines to support Neighborhood Health Center’s mission. Provides direction and oversight of the Data Team to execute the data strategy of the Center. This position supports internal stakeholders in data-driven decision making for key strategic initiatives and will actively influence metric development on these strategic initiatives. The Manager ensures the Center has the proper data infrastructure and data governance in place to provide a ‘single source of truth’ for business reporting. This position also oversees, manages, and conducts data modeling and data analysis, including research pertaining to a blend of quality improvement, efficiency, patient satisfaction, patient health status, patient access, and people analytics. Works collaboratively with business users, the Quality, Clinical Informatics/Epic, and IT teams and clinical staff to create requirements for new reports, to generate and analyze reports, analyze data to make recommendations for program development and process improvement, and to present/submit data in formats that are easily understood for business users and other stakeholders.
Essential Job Duties
- Oversee the Data Analytics and Insights team:
- Provide supervision, coaching and performance management.
- Develop annual budget needs for Director review.
- Conduct hiring process for open positions.
- Coordinate staff training (initial orientation and ongoing development).
- Facilitate corrective and disciplinary actions in consultation with HR Department.
- Manage and support report designs, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end- user information portals.
- Identify and manage implementation and administration of business intelligence reporting tools.
- Partner with data analyst to build and maintain reports utilizing data visualization tools. This includes dashboards and visualizations supporting financial reporting, productivity reporting, metrics performance, and capacity management.
- Work collaboratively Electronic Health Records provider and other partners to meet data reporting and data integration needs.
- Support the data team in interpreting the data and remediating issues when required.
- Assist data team in recreating and customizing reports in NHC’s data warehouse to ensure data accuracy.
- Complete and publish reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis as required to meet organizational requirements and deadlines.
- Choose and recommend the most appropriate form of report delivery; assuring best quality, transparency of process and maximize reusability as possible based on the project.
- Support the data infrastructure to provide a competitive advantage when negotiating payment contracts as well as to enable the Center to build and maintain a comprehensive risk stratification model
- Work collaboratively to maintain the integrity of provider and practice data that will support downstream processes, applications and reports.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements: Automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, improving reporting, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Engage with data owners to implement and maintain quality, security and privacy requirements, and related policies and standards.
- Represent NHC with external partners, committees, or industry groups.
