Overview

Surf Internet seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee our IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, virtual machine environment, and help desk support. As a critical part of our team, you will lead a small, dynamic group of IT professionals responsible for maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and security of our systems while also ensuring top-tier support for our internal users through IT help desk services. Additionally, you will manage the integration between various enterprise systems essential to our fiber ISP operations, as well as administration of Google Workspace and Microsoft Enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, and cloud solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide a small team of IT professionals responsible for enterprise systems, help desk support, and virtual environments.
  • Help Desk Oversight: Lead and oversee the team that provides IT help desk support, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of technical issues for internal staff.
  • Virtual Machine Environment: Lead the operation and administration of virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and uptime across all systems.
  • Enterprise Systems: Oversee the management and integration of various enterprise systems, ensuring seamless communication and operation between CRM, billing, provisioning, and monitoring tools.
  • Google Workspace and Microsoft Enterprise Administration: Administer and maintain Google Workspace and Microsoft Enterprise environments, ensuring optimal functionality, security, and user support.
  • System Integrations: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes and improve integrations between various platforms, software, and tools critical to fiber ISP services.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all systems meet security standards and compliance requirements, implementing best practices for data protection, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide high-level technical support to resolve infrastructure-related issues and maintain high system availability.
  • Capacity Planning & Performance: Monitor and plan for infrastructure growth, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support business growth.
  • Vendor Management: Work closely with external vendors and partners to manage hardware, software, and cloud services, ensuring SLAs are met.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and virtual environments, ideally within an ISP or telecom environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years leading a team of IT professionals with a demonstrated ability to deliver operational excellence.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
    • Strong expertise in system integration and enterprise software, including CRM and billing systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).
    • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Enterprise administration.
    • Comprehensive understanding of networking principles, fiber technology, and related infrastructure is a plus.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator.
    • ITIL Certification or equivalent for IT service management.
    • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, including NIST standards and ISO/IEC 27001.
    • Understanding of compliance standards such as GDPR, CCPA, or other relevant regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven project management skills to handle complex infrastructure upgrades and integrations.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Vendor management experience, including negotiating contracts and ensuring SLAs are met.
    • Capacity planning and performance monitoring experience to support scalable infrastructure growth.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment while maintaining high system availability and user satisfaction.
