PRIMARY MISSION:

As the Manager, Experiences, you will be the ultimate curator of all experiences at a newly reimagined lifestyle hotel in the heart of Palm Springs.

You will possess energy, creative prowess, and the ability to execute year-round experiences for guests and the community; by activating physical spaces, creating meaningful collaborations with local and regional creators, and documenting the activations at the hotel to share with the world online. In addition, you will be responsible to help ideate and execute the guest experience from check-in, stay, and check-out.

ESSENTIAL TRAITS FOR THE (MANAGER, EXPERIENCES)

IN-THE-KNOW WITH A LOVE FOR PEOPLE + CONNECTING: A passion for connecting with people, and immersed in Palm Springs diverse & vibrant culture. You possess the charisma to rapidly build relationships as the hotel seeks to connect with its community and guests alike. You know (or aspire to) the most interesting people, best bars, best food, best musicians and best adventures so our guests can always enjoy the magic of the heart of Palm Springs, not just what's in the run-of-the-mill tour guides.

CULTURALLY AWARE + CURIOUS: You enjoy culture – and are invested or excited to dive into the local art + music scene: concert venues, local haunts, galleries, musicians and designers. You are excited to share the unique and colorful history of Palm Springs. The ideal candidate will know and be known by the tastemakers in-market and be able to foster relationships and identify collaborations of mutual benefit with partners in Palm Springs that are both locally relevant and brand-right.

SKILLED EVENT/ACTIVATION ORGANIZER + PRODUCER: A love of organizing and producing events, parties, games, and other forms of entertainment. You will provide opportunities for guests (and locals) to chill out as well make active memories. Work closely with the property leadership team to execute property activities. Bring to life the shared vision of the team with the guided assistance of operations.

ORGANIZED + ABILITY TO MANAGE BUDGETS: Yes, there will be much fun-making, but the right candidate understands how to estimate the costs and potential benefits of activations (artist-in-residence/wellness program/lectures/poolside events/wine tasting/weekly live music at the bar)...you get the idea. You have the ability to plan and execute events in a timely fashion and within budget parameters. Highly organized and a great communicator to ensure all relevant stakeholders/team members are informed and prepared.

Collaboration with partners to share costs will help supercharge the range of events and experiences that can be done within the budget.

Ability to work with internal and external partners to produce great digital posts that give guests a heads up or share what they missed, through the voice of the hotel and according to the social media framework (provided by the brand). Ability to take good photos and a creative eye.

TEAM PLAYER: You embrace teamwork. Success requires excellent communication & cooperation skills in addition to a healthy dose of personal motivation. Sometimes the team will need a hand for something mundane and unrelated, but important. Just as the staff will assist with events, the  Manager, Experiences will assist with day-to-day operations as needed.
