CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE – ENCINO CORPORATE OFFICE

 

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Director of Finance to lead the financial operations and strategy at the Encino Corporate Office. As a key leader, you will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Your leadership will drive financial excellence, support business growth, and enhance operational efficiency across all departments.

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM

  • Reports to the Chief Financial Officer
  • Finance team across all departments and locations

 

Responsibilities

 

As the Corporate Director of Finance, you will:

 

- Oversee all financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management

- Ensure financial compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies

- Develop financial strategies that align with business goals and objectives, driving profitability and long-term growth

- Lead financial planning and analysis, providing key insights to support decision-making at the executive level

- Manage company-wide financial risks, identifying potential issues and implementing effective mitigation strategies

- Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities

- Direct the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

- Monitor financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve profitability

- Implement best practices in financial management, accounting, and reporting across all business units

- Lead the Finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

 

SCOPE OF WORK + ONGOING EVERYDAY TASKS

 

- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors and executive leadership team

- Manage financial audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place

- Collaborate with other departments to drive cost-saving initiatives and improve financial efficiency

- Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners

- Review and approve financial contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and financial objectives

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Experience:
    • 4+ years of business-related experience as Chief Financial Officer or Senior Staff Accountant; hospitality industry highly preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in accounting-related field or department.
  • IT Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
  • Education:
    • Education: B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or related Business field from an accredited university; CPA or MBA preferred
  • Subject Expertise:
    • Must have thorough knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting requirements, including application of general accounting theory.
    • Must have thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and policies.
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
    • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
    • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
    • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
    • Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers and read, write and understand the English language
    • Must be energetic and outgoing
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
    • Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
    • Must be able to understand and work with basic financial information and solve basic arithmetic problems
    • Must be able to type 45 wpm and have the ability to input data and access information on the computer
    • Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Opera; preferred.
    • Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

  • Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Team Member Handbook.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
  • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
  • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
