Primary mission:
Maintain the hotels assets through ongoing preventative maintenance programs and ensures that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with Springboard Hospitality standards. Promotes quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM
- Reports to Director of Property Operations/ Chief Engineer
- Supports Engineering Department
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Director of Engineering in the supervision of the Engineering staff; interview, recommend hiring, train, schedule, prepare payroll, coach and counsel, recommend performance evaluations and discipline as needed
- Assign work orders to staff; monitor progress and results.
- Plan, prepare and monitor special projects.
- Monitor, control and report on the energy conservation program.
- Responsible for all life/safety systems including fire, elevators, disasters and emergency lighting and generating systems.
- Maintain all motors and control circuits.
- Arrange for proper trash removal and recycling.
- Purchase equipment and supplies. Maintain pars.
- Maintain audio systems within the hotel.
- Perform the duties of a Class II or III Engineer as needed.
- Assist with Payroll and other engineering administrative duties.
- Arrange for outside contracts when necessary
- Assist the Director of Engineering in all areas requested and act in his/her place during his/her absence
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Participate in hotel committees, MOD program and task force assignments.
- Assist the Front Office Manager in all areas requested and act in his/her place during his/her absence
