Position Summary

NDSS seeks an experienced and mission-driven professional to serve as its Digital Engagement Coordinator. This individual will play a key role in promoting and advancing the mission through NDSS’ digital media channels, website, and email. The Digital Engagement Coordinator will support the organization's digital strategy, helping to amplify NDSS’ position in the disability community. A successful candidate will be highly motivated and capable of supporting effective campaigns and promotions, work on strategies that drive audience growth, and increase engagement and fundraising on digital platforms.

This position is the main NDSS website editor as well as a key support for program leads in ensuring we have up-to-date content to deliver to the community. They will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to advance brand awareness, enhance effective communication, and deepen supporters’ connections to NDSS.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Identifies high-impact opportunities to increase the visibility of our programmatic work and fundraising on digital media
  • Maintains and edits evolving NDSS website content
  • Sources and supports video and content creation as needed
  • Supports and provides insight on the ongoing strategy to grow and further engage NDSS email subscribers
  • Creates, disseminates, and tracks NDSS emails including newsletters and others where necessary
  • Supports and aids in the development of digital fundraising campaigns including e-commerce
  • Helps monitor new trends in the digital media industry that keep the organization's digital strategy and fundraising on the cutting edge
  • Supports branding and awareness initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • 1-3 years minimum of professional experience
  • Nonprofit work experience strongly preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and communicate well
  • Energetic with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong willingness to initiate deadlines and time frames for assignments and follow up on all delegated activities Familiarity with running successful email campaigns and strategy
  • Demonstrated experience with website and SEO
  • Familiarity with a broad range of digital marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies
  • Basic experience with Word Press, HTML, CSS and Adobe, Canva or other graphic design programs
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well both independently and within a team;
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and goals of NDSS
