Purpose

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supplying customers with timely & accurate information regarding accounts, products, rates, & services offered.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service to service department, counter & phone customers
  • Provides recommendation for sales of additional related or needed parts or accessories
  • Timely and accurate processing of all in-store orders; completes orders by communicating with customers on pick-up or delivery status
  • Locating and obtaining merchandise for customers, whether in-stock, out-of-stock or non-stocked merchandise
  • Maintains inventory integrity by verifying receipting-in of shipments and assisting with placing parts orders in their proper inventory locations; assisting in cycle counts; following up on inventory discrepancies and expediting issues by reporting to Supervisor
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining professional showroom image and merchandise displays
  • Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
  • Outside oil sales and delivery
  • Routinely lifts items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Hours for this position:
    • Pierre store hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.
    • Will work some Saturdays.
    • Will be on a rotation for carrying the After-Hours Parts phone.

Qualifications

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Basic parts and machinery knowledge is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience connecting with customers, maintain professional image, establish rapport is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of the selling processes is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
  • Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Must be able to drive forklift for unloading and loading incoming and outgoing items.
  • Must be able to drive for pulling oil trailer with pickup
