Job Responsibilities:

  • Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.
  • Builds long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identifies and researches potential clients.
  • Seeks out and attends networking events throughout the local area and represents the Carpet Tech brand.
  • Discovers and explores business opportunities through cold calling and referrals and qualifies prospects for potential new business.
  • Delivers sales presentations to prospective clients and networking groups.
  • Gathers useful information from customer and competitor data.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating agreements; and integrating agreement requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhances the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications

Business Development Manager Qualifications / Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability in business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Has great prospecting, customer service, and relations skills.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions
  • Fits within the company culture and works with a disciplined mindset. Holds themselves accountable and has exceptional character.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the market.
  • Ability to network across multiple industries.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software



 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience, marketing, event management
