Purpose of After-School Program Administrator Role:

The After-School Program Administrator is responsible for administering all aspects of NDI New Mexico’s Dance Barns after-school program.  The After-School Program Administrator is responsible to the Dance Barns Program Artistic Director for carrying out the mission and the policies of NDI New Mexico with excellence. The After-School Program Administrator provides oversight of the Dance Barns Administrative Assistant.  The Producer is a member of the organization’s Artistic Administrative Staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
Administrates After-School Program

  • Oversees administration of all Dance Barns after-school and summer programs, including but not limited to: registration, scheduling, student account management, payment processing, and record-keeping.
  • Responsible for conveying the program’s communication with students, parents, faculty, and the community, at the direction of the Dance Barns Artistic Director
  • Monitors, updates and reconciles program budget with Dance Barns Artistic Director
  • Prepares and administrates program staff meetings in collaboration with Dance Barns Artistic Director
  • Coordinates, assists with training, and reviews procedures to ensure consistency and best practices with other NDI New Mexico Program Producers as needed
  • Maintains student database and provides reports on program data as needed.
  • Monitors, approves, and submits payroll for Dance Barns hourly staff
  • Coordinates with Marketing department and Dance Barns Artistic Director for collateral materials as needed
     

Oversees Administration of Dance Barns Productions

  • Assists Dance Barns Artistic Director as needed with Advanced Team administration, productions, and special events
  • Serves as Box Office Manager and primary Box Office staff for all NDI New Mexico events at The Dance Barns.
  • Serves as or hires for House Manager for NDI New Mexico events at The Dance Barns as needed.
  • Supports Dance Barns Artistic Director in managing work study/demonstrator and ad sales/scholarship programs as needed/when applicable
  • Coordinates parent volunteers for performances  

 

Cultivates Relationships with Community Stakeholders

  • Develops positive relationships with parent volunteers to engage families in the program, inspiring their commitment, and enlisting and coordinating their support for events.
  • Fosters positive relations, and acts as an advocate for the organization with all stakeholders in the program.

General Duties

  • Creates and maintains production procedures, forms, and templates for all after-school productions and programs, in coordination with all other artistic program producers to ensure consistency across the programs
  • Schedules regular office hours
  • Attends all enrichment workshops and staff meetings as needed Upholds all Management and HR policies and procedures
  • Other duties as needed

 

Working Conditions, Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Functions performed in a variety of environments including: NDI New Mexico offices, schools, residency sites, and other locations
  • Requires reliable transportation and reimbursable in-state travel to NDI New Mexico locations, participating schools, residency sites, and community events 
  • Requires weekend and evening hours
  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • May be required to navigate stairs

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Job Specific Requirements: 

  • College education preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office Suite
  • Requires 1-3 years in job related duties
