Description

Georgetown Visitation, founded in 1799, is an all-girls high school rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition, committed to educating young women from diverse backgrounds. We are a faith-centered community dedicated to educational excellence, enriched by co-curricular and service programs. We guide our students as they integrate the search for truth with the pursuit of knowledge and dedicate their God-given gifts to making the world a better place.

Visitation is currently inviting applications for a full-time Annual Fund Manager. The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for strategic planning, implementation, and growth of the annual fundraising efforts at Visitation. This individual will engage with alumnae, parents, and other school stakeholders to secure annual contributions, build relationships, and advance the school’s mission. The manager will work closely with the Director of Advancement to develop and execute targeted campaigns, oversee donor stewardship, and ensure successful fundraising events.

The ideal candidate is a strong supporter of a Catholic, all girls-education and embraces the Salesian mission of “Live Jesus.” As a representative of our school, the Annual Fund Manager should be both professional and welcoming; have exceptional organizational and oral and written communication skills; have a strong attention to detail and eye for accuracy; be creative and flexible; work well independently and as part of a team; and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage a comprehensive strategic annual giving fundraising plan
    • Set dollar, participation, and qualitative goals for all constituencies: parents, alumnae, past parents, grandparents and faculty and staff
    • Schedule appeals (including mail, digital, and personal outreach)
    • Craft creative, compelling, mission-aligned messaging and design

  • Manage the implementation of Visitation Annual Fund solicitation appeals
    • Coordinate with the communications office and manage outside annual fund specialists (BCG and GiveCampus)
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, and volunteers
    • Assist with prospect research
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgment, recognition, and stewardship programs, with particular focus on leadership and first-time gifts
  • Manage volunteer leaders (including Visitation Annual Fund parent volunteers)
    • Provide prospect identification tools and reports to support solicitation efforts
    • Coordinate volunteer thank you cards for donors
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and analyses of program results (including the tracking and status of individual major gifts) for the Director of Advancement
  • Implement best practices in gift processing, data management, and donor relations
  • Support the Database Manager with gift entry and acknowledgement to ensure timely recognition of gifts
  • Coordinate the Reunion giving program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Direct experience managing volunteers, including recruitment, training, and supervision
  • Availability and willingness to work occasionally outside the normal schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends to accommodate donor and volunteer meetings and events
  • Experience in Catholic or independent schools preferred
  • Experience in digital design media (Photoshop/Canva/InDesign/Illustrator) a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move around campus and into several non-ADA compliant buildings
