POSITION SUMMARY
ECRI is currently looking for two Clinical Sales Consultants to cover our East and West sales territories and a National Aging Services Sales Consultant.
Candidates will market, sell, manage, and support the delivery of healthcare consulting services from ECRI’s safety management solutions portfolio that includes but is not limited to Medication Error Prevention and other Institute for Safe Medication Practices solutions, culture of safety, healthcare clinical risk management, continuous quality improvement, clinically informed Human Factors Engineering (HFE), Patient Safety Organization solutions, Patient Safety management solutions, systems analysis work including root cause analysis, a variety of educational offerings, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and other applicable systems safety management solutions as part of ECRI’s Enterprise Safety Management/Total Systems Safety solutions.
Ensures the lead generation, sales, delivery, and relationship management of high-quality consultative services to US acute and/or non-acute care provider clients (aging services space for the National Aging Service Consultant) working alongside ECRI’s subject matter experts. Additionally, this position manages the sales process beginning with the identification of appropriate targets through close upon execution of agreements for both new and repeat ECRI clients. This position also works with other ECRI teams contributing to the development of marketing and awareness campaigns, necessary sales tools, and other mission expansion related activities.

Consulting and Sales:
- Provides and sells consulting services to healthcare providers in areas such as patient safety, human factors engineering, infection prevention, medication error prevention and/or aging services space and channel.
- Able to clearly articulate what Total Systems Safety means and describe how a systems approach can effectively support healthcare systems to achieve the goal of zero preventable harm.
- Continuously monitors for regulatory changes, federal requirement updates, accreditation changes and any evidence-based indicators (i.e. guidelines or publications) that impact customer needs and priorities related to patient safety, medication safety, and infection prevention.
- Performs detailed, intensive research, including thorough on-site assessments working alongside ECRI Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), to formulate accurate and effective solutions or plans to address the client's specified needs.
- Collaborate with ECRI health economist and marketing team to develop and maintain return on investment proof points that resonate with healthcare leaders that serve patients across the continuum of care.
- Provides well-written, technically accurate, and logically defensible deliverables to clients regarding, but not limited to:
- HFE services and patient safety, ISMP and IPC solutions, professional development and training programs, Culture of Safety surveys and various clinical and safety focused risk assessments.
- Proactively maintains continued client contact throughout any project to ensure project / service completion in a timely manner within client's expectations.
- Able to navigate and work in and across provider departments and call points that include but are not limited to risk, quality, and patient safety safety, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Pharmacy Officer/Director of Pharmacy, clinical operations, infection prevention, and/or executive call points in the aging services space.
- Proactively maintains continued client contact throughout any project, helping to responsively resolve client needs and answer client questions.
- Maintains excellent client relations during and after project completion to position ECRI for further consulting service opportunities.

- Cultivates new projects and clients on a continual basis.
- Writes and follows up on proposals, leads, and other business possibilities to develop and bring new work to ECRI.
- Markets consulting services and develops new methods to generate business in collaboration with the marketing department and SME staff.
- Assesses the marketplace and develops and/or modifies products and services to meet client needs.
- Develops and maintains networks of clients to develop and sell products and services to.
- Makes and delivers presentations to potential clients and groups to sell ECRI products and services.
- Coordinates sales strategies with sales leadership and subject matter experts
- Contributes to group strategic planning, Business Line Management and budget planning.
