You’re up-to-speed on the strategies currently being implemented by the world’s top media buyers to grab and hold attention, get the click, and drive highly profitable paid ad campaigns using Google Ads and the META Business Suite.

 

And while paid search and media buying are your areas of expertise, you know that business success demands a healthy mix of paid and organic marketing channels. That’s why you’ve worked hard to gain the knowledge and skills required to drive revenue growth using effective white-hat SEO strategies in the past as well.

 

You’re also obsessed with analytics and tracking stats such as CTR, CPC, Cost/Conversion, and ROAS because you understand the importance of knowing your numbers (aka the ‘marketing math’) in order to succeed.

 

You consider yourself a results-driven marketer who loves to run AB split tests to maximize conversions instead of guessing what will work best.

About the Position

We are looking for a Marketing Manager who is a self-starter, results-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-based environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, is analytical yet creative, and is constantly looking for ways to improve marketing performance. The right candidate will play a critical role in driving our online presence, increasing conversions, and scaling our digital marketing initiatives.

Success in this role requires ownership, accountability, and initiative—you will be expected to take action without waiting for direction, anticipate challenges before they arise, and drive projects to completion with a focus on results.


 

Key Performance Objectives (KPOs):

Within the first 3-5 months, you will:

  • Take full ownership of our Google Ads and META Business Suite campaigns, ensuring performance meets or exceeds key benchmarks.
  • Review and optimize our SEO strategy, implementing immediate wins and setting a long-term roadmap for consistent year-over-year organic traffic growth.
  • Develop strong cross-department relationships with customer service, sales, and analytics teams to align on marketing campaigns and business objectives.
  • Develop a strong understanding of PGC’s products and services.
  • Develop a strong understanding of PGC’s existing marketing system and become an expert in our camp launch process.

Within the first 6-9 months, you will:

  • Develop new “hooks” for social media ads on Facebook and Instagram and create at least 3 ads that outperform currently running ads.
  • Have PGC ranking in one of the top 3 positions of the Google SERPs for each of our 10 most relevant keywords.
  • Implement A/B testing frameworks to improve website conversion rates and customer experience.
  • Strengthen and grow affiliate marketing partnerships, driving new revenue through key collaborations.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and optimize paid ad campaigns across the Google Ads network and the META business suite to drive camp registrations at scale while hitting company CPA targets.
  • Manage annual paid ads budget and provide monthly status updates to the marketing team.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of PGC’s SEO strategy to drive significant growth in organic traffic, ultimately leading to more camp registrations.
  • Plan and execute A/B testing initiatives, developing hypotheses, managing tests, and analyzing results to increase camp registration and lead generation conversion rates.
  • Develop and manage affiliate marketing strategies, identifying and closing new partnerships with industry relevant companies to drive camp revenue growth.
  • Oversee, manage, and optimize web content (including sales pages, lead-generation pages, and blog posts) for user experience and conversions.
  • Work closely with our web developer and third-party partners to ensure conversion tracking is working properly at all times.
  • Work with video editors and designers to produce attention-grabbing video and image ads.


 

Required Competencies & Skills (in order of importance):

  • Google Ads: campaign monitoring and performance, campaign, ad group and ad creation, budget management, keyword research (and negative keyword management), maintain high quality scores, audience management, smart bidding, experiments and other account tasks.
  • META Business Suite: Campaign monitoring and performance, campaign, ad set and ad creation, budget management, audience targeting, retargeting, prospecting, audience management, optimal bidding practices, and other account tasks.
  • SEO: Identify, close, and manage link-building opportunities on authoritative websites in the basketball industry, optimize webpages for organic search using <title> and <h1> tags and meta descriptions, report monthly on keyword rankings for keywords relevant to the business, review internal blog posts and identify opportunities for internal linking using relevant keywords, identify pages in need of 301 redirects, and stay up-to-date on SEO best practices.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: A/B testing, data analysis, UX improvements.
  • Lead Generation: Creation of opt-in pages and follow-up sales funnels.
  • Content Management: WordPress, landing page creation, HTML basics.
  • Affiliate Marketing: Identify new affiliate opportunities that can drive incremental growth, manage existing affiliate campaigns, including planning, coordinating, and executing deliverables on a quarterly basis, provide marketing assets to affiliates and partners on a timely basis, and analyze and report results to marketing team members.

 

Required Tools:

  • Google Ads, META Business Suite, Google Analytics, SEMrush or Moz (or equivalent), HubSpot (or similar CRM), WordPress (or similar), VWO or Google Optimize (or similar split-testing tool)

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year (based on results track record)
  • Remote Work: Work from home (WFH) with a fully remote team
