Requirements:
- Maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times while providing service

- Experience working within a Conservation or Youth Corps or equivalent experience preferred
- Holds B Faller/FAL2 qualification or has the knowledge, skills and abilities to receive B Faller qualification upon hire preferred
- Previous experience constructing recreational trails preferred

- Possessing the confidence and ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure  Â

- Ability to meet physical demand of the position, including: hike up to 10 miles a day with heavy backpacks, carry 25 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally Â
- Ability to camp up to seven consecutive nights in primitive locations, in adverse weather conditions Â
- Ability to effectively operate machinery and tools while following production and quality standards set by the Nevada Conservation Corps
- Current Driver License with clean driving record (must qualify to drive GBI Vehicles)Â
- Follow strict safety protocol and maintain personal safety of self and others
- Must pass a Criminal History Background Check (includes National Sex Offender Public Registry name search and FBI fingerprint check)

Compensation:Â
- Bi-weekly Salary range $1,680 - $2,080 ($21.00 - $26.00 hourly equivalent) depending on experience
- Per Diem - $15 per field day
- Paid personal leave Â
- $100 per week housing allowance
- $16.15 bi-weekly for phone allowance

Location:
This position is based out of Great Basin Institute's Reno NV field stations. Crews will travel throughout the region to complete projects from their assigned field station. Generally leaders are assigned to one field station for the duration of the field season.Â
