Classification: Non-exempt -Stipend (Seasonal) / AT-WILL POSITION 

Job  Description:

The Athletics Announcer is responsible for the commentary and announcing of athletic home games. This position is responsible to represent Rancho Christian Athletics and Rancho Christian School as a Christ-Centered school and a member of California Interscholastic Federation. Hold a consistent professionalism throughout announcing events and follow guidelines that have been set forth by your athletic director. This position is based on a seasonal contract and the position and/or contract as an at-will coach can be terminated at any time at the discretion of the supervisor or athletic director.

Areas of Expected Proficiency:

• Knowledge of CIF rules and regulations preferred. 

• Direct the training, conditioning and performance of the program

• Oversee each player as they develop and enhance his/her individual skills and ability.

• Follows established procedures of game planning, rosters, announcing expectations

• Build a culture of connection & Christian fellowship with team members and future members.

Other Expectations:

• Execute any off-season programs within CIF guidelines

• Promote positive interaction with and among the student-athletes, the school, church and community.

• Demonstrate enthusiasm for announcing and learning.

• It is possible that this position may change or evolve as time moves on. Full cooperation is required as we strive to make our athletic department a great success.

• Represent core values, characteristics, and traits that provide support to the athletic environments.

Requirements:

• Successfully pass Live Scan criminal background check prior to hire

• Demonstrate a passion for Christ and his Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline. 

• Seek to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability and service to his Kingdom. 

Professional Qualifications: 

• Experience: At least 2 years announcing experience at any level.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the sport as it pertains to California Interscholastic Federation

• Demonstrate strong leadership in announcing events

• Possess strong communication and organizational skills 

• Commitment of seeking to grow in these areas, through additional training.
