Job Summary: The Human Resource Generalist will support the HR function within the organization by performing the daily functions of the Human Resources department including recruiting efforts, maintaining employment records, benefits administration, enforcing company policies and practices, addressing employee queries and providing general support to the Sr. Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Generalist will contribute to the overall success of the organization by managing various aspects of the employee lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to
Â
- Recruiting and staffing: Participating in the recruitment process, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and assisting with the selection process. Recruits, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental / hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- New Hire Onboarding: Performs the onboarding for all new hires including completion of new hire paperwork initiating background checks, pre-employment drug screening and employee eligibility verifications. Completes new hire orientation with all new employees.
- Employee Offboarding: Initiate employee terminations when required including completion of necessary termination paperwork, set up system removal and report terminations to the Department of Revenue. HR Compliance: Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintaining HR records, and keeping up to date with changes in HR-related legislation.
- HR Policies and Procedures: Developing, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
- Data Management: Maintaining HR databases, generating reports, and analyzing HR metrics to support decision-making processes. Perform periodic HR audits as needed.
- Payroll Processing: Complete semi-monthly payroll for 4 payroll groups using Paycom payroll software.
- Employee Relations: handling employee relations issues, such as resolving conflicts, conducting investigations, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Assisting with performance appraisal processed, providing feedback to employees, and addressing performance related issues.
- Training and Development: Coordinating training programs, identifying training needs, and facilitating employee development initiatives.
- Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits programs, assisting employees with benefit-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with benefit regulations.
- Employee Engagement: Implementing initiatives to foster employee engagement, morale and a positive work culture.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least five years of experience in a human resources role.
- Professional HR Certification required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and HRIS platforms.
- Experience with Paycom payroll and HR software system a plus.
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Proficient in data entry and management.
