Human Resources Generalist  

Description:  

The Human Resources Generalist is a partner in the Human Resources department. You’ll be working with like-minded peers to ensure each team member feels supported and informed.  This is what the ModDrop stands for. Responsibilities: 

The Human Resources Generalist will be working in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department with an emphasis on Benefit administration and ensuring compliance with company policies and practices. 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years of Human Resources Experience or Benefit Administration. 

  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, as well as filing and compliance requirements.  

  • Knowledge of employee benefits and how they work. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.   

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.   

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.   

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.   

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.   

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.     

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.   

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.  

  • SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators for Benefits.  

  • Document admin procedures for all benefit processes.  

  • Handle all enrollment processes, changes in benefits, terminations, etc.  

  • Process benefits and correlating payments monthly.  

  • Develop materials to clearly communicate benefits packages to employees.  

  • Provide training and support to all teams on benefits packages. 

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.   

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.   

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and benefits.   

  • Performs other duties as assigned.     

 

 

Physical Requirements: 

 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.   

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
