Job Purpose
The role of Track Material Truck Driver is vital to successful project completion. This position will perform material and/or equipment transportation for projects in accordance with project scheduling requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Corporate Team of Operations
- Responsible for safely equipping truck with all tools and materials required
- Ensure vehicle and equipment are cleaned, maintained, and used in a safe manner
- Complete driver hours, mileage, and fuel logs in accordance with policies and regulations
- Communicate with Track Project Manager and production crews
- Make decisions in the field to prevent project delays
- Plan routes to meet delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection of vehicle
- Transport of materials and equipment between shop, project sites and suppliers
- Load and unload cargo and prepare required bills of lading
- Stage materials on job sites as directed
- Comply with all appropriate traffic laws
- Abide by required policies and procedures
