Starting wage: $18.00, although negotiable based on experience and education.

What skills do you need?

This role is a great way to launch your career in the accounting field. It is best if you have a couple years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or a similar role.

Excellent math skills, writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate with a variety of clientele will help you succeed in this role!

High school degree required, as well as ability to pass federal workplace drug screen, and must hold a valid driver’s license.

About the Team:

The Accounting team is led by an experienced Financial Controller who has been with the Agency nearly 5 years.

You will be joining a team of other account assistants, an Accounting Manager, and Accounts Payable Specialist.

The accounting team works together cohesively and collaboratively to ensure all resident and client accounts are secure, accurate, and maintain integrity in all their daily duties.

What will you do in this position?

As a Resident Accounting Assistant, you will ensure accurate day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping needs for Alternatives clients and residents.

Duties include but are not limited to – collection and receipt of fees, reconciliation, and accurate paperwork for deposits, providing excellent customer service, communication with other team members about outstanding resident debts or other concerns with accounts, and monitoring daily banking activities.
