AFS-USA increases global competency through study abroad programs, hosting foreign exchange students, and global learning workshops. Our team collaborates nationwide to deliver high-quality programs and global education resources.
As the Seasonal Coordinator for YES Abroad, you will primarily assist Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad scholarship program staff in various tasks, including:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track and follow up on applications and participants.
- Compile pre-departure intercultural training content.
- Provide customer service to participants and parents.
- Advise participants on visa matters.
- Coordinate and arrange logistics for participant events and orientations.
- Assist with additional tasks within the Sponsored Programs Department as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- First-hand experience with international education or travel.
- Organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
WORK EXPECTATIONS:
- AFS USA work hours are generally from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday EST.
SALARY:
- $18/hour, 35 hours per week
