Join Our Team as a Seasonal Community Outreach Advisor!

AFS-USA increases global competency through study abroad programs, hosting foreign exchange students, and global learning workshops. Our team collaborates nationwide to deliver high-quality programs and global education resources.

As a COA, you'll be an integral part of our Field Team, working closely with Regional Field Specialists and other stakeholders to achieve our regional and national hosting goals.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage Communities: Connect with organizations and individuals to promote AFS programs.
  • Recruitment: Develop and implement targeted strategies.
  • Event Support: Assist with volunteer-led events and outreach.
  • Content Creation: Create social media content and promotional materials.
  • Evaluate & Adjust: Assess and refine outreach efforts.
  • Administrative Support: Help with host family placements and assist with paperwork, data entry and phone calls.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, Canva and social media platforms.
  • Experience working collaboratively as a member of a virtual team.

 

WORK EXPECTATIONS:

  • AFS USA work hours are generally from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday EST.

 

SALARY:

  • $18.00 per hour part-time
