As one of the nation’s largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, Facility Solutions Group is expanding its staff and seeking a Control Specialist to join the Round Rock, TX, team.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

We seek a highly motivated Control Specialist to support developing and deploying scalable control systems. A Controls Specialist 1 will work in a highly cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with sales, projects, support, development, and engineering teams to plan and execute control integrations. This includes participating in the design, development, testing, and integration processes as part of or leading a team.

  • Provide tech support for our Customer Service Center
  • Operate as an apprentice in the creation and deployment of station-level logic based on engineering specifications.
  • Create documentation, train Projects, and Support Staff
  • Assist in writing and maintaining station-level and supervisor-level reports.
  • Modify station-level graphics based on level of competency.
  • Assist in developing commissioning tools to support a streamlined, automated installation based on competency level.
  • Assist in the development of support-level tools.
  • Integrate stations to the IOT platform when assigned.
  • Read and understand scripts for station updates and adjustments when assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field experience
  • Understanding of electronic components
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Google equivalent
  • Preferred
  • Understanding of commercial HVAC and lighting systems
  • Understanding of Bajascript, HTML, CSS, Viscosity, Python, and shell
  • Understanding of LoRa, Wi-Fi, and other wireless protocols
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and other common BAS protocols.
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Visio
  • Experience with creating engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to read engineering and as-built drawings
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or other common BAS communication protocols.
