Description

Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus, a not-for-profit community located in Naperville, IL, has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for over 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community and a Healthcare Center.

                                     We currently have an opening for a Full Time Housekeeper in our Healthcare Center.

  • $15.25 PER HOUR

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, the Housekeeper shall keep all areas of the facility neat, clean and in a sanitary condition.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

The duties of the Housekeeper position include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.         Able to sweep, mop, and polish floors; vacuum carpets; clean restrooms; wash windows and walls; move and arrange furniture and equipment; pick up outside refuse.

2.         Dress in appropriate uniform and be at appointed workstation promptly when the shift starts and work consistently until the shift ends.

3.         Understand and carry out oral and written directions.

4.         Demonstrate ability to clean and sanitize areas of responsibility consistent with facility policy and procedure.

5.         Attend all facility and department in-service training.

6.         Work in cooperation with all other employees of the facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.

7.         Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to facility safety programs at all times.

8.         All other duties assigned by management.

 

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

1.         Ability to get around the facility to carry out assignments.

2.         Some up and down activity including reaching above and below shoulder height.

3.         Occasionally lifting: 50 lbs.– 75 lbs.

4.         Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

5.         Communicates orally and in writing with residents, families and co-workers.

Education/Experience:

  • A high school diploma is desirable, but not mandatory. 
  • A good working knowledge  (reading and speaking) of the English language is mandatory. 
  • Housekeeping experience is preferable, but not essential. 
  • Must meet health assessment requirements. 
  • Must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.
  • Use of basic housekeeping equipment.
