Description:

The Financial Analyst supports the financial health and strategic goals of the organization by delivering timely, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations. This role is essential to forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and supporting operational decision-making across departments. The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that every dollar spent drives value for the company, its guests, and its team members. This is what the ModDrop stands for. Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis and reporting to support company leadership in making informed business decisions. This includes developing forecasts, managing budgets, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), and contributing to strategic planning efforts. The Financial Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accountability and transparency across all departments.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, STEM, or related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, budgeting, or accounting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including dynamic array functions (FILTER, LET, SEQUENCE, SORT, UNIQUE, XLOOKUP, TEXTAFTER/BEFORE/SPLIT), INDIRECT, OFFSET, INDEX/MATCH/MATCH, SUMPRODUCT, and FIND/SEARCH
  • Strong understanding of Excel's logic-based functions (IF(S), AND, OR) and arithmetic functions (SUMIF(S), AVERAGEIF(S), COUNTIF(S))
  • Experience manipulating and summarizing date-based data (e.g., converting daily data into monthly, and monthly into yearly reports)
  • Clean, structured, and well-documented work practices
  • Familiarity with Power Query to shuttle in data from other spreadsheets/systems
  • Microsoft Power BI experience
  • Comfortable learning new systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 

Position Requirements:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and forecasting updates
  • Collaborate with business units to monitor budgets and financial performance
  • Analyze financial data and trends to support business cases, pricing strategies, and operational decisions
  • Develop and maintain models for scenario planning and profitability analysis
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership teams
  • Assist in creating annual budgets and long-term strategic plans
  • Identify risks and opportunities through deep financial analysis
  • Support internal audit and compliance initiatives
  •  Contribute to cross-functional initiatives with Operations, HR, and Marketing to ensure alignment of financial goals with company-wide strategies
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracy
  •  Perform other related duties as assigned
