About This Role
The Venue Opener is responsible for opening the venue, ensuring that all areas are clean, secure, and prepared for the day’s activities. This includes setting up basic decor and signage, checking facilities, and coordinating with fellow team members and vendors as they arrive. The ideal candidate should be punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Energy, enthusiasm, the ability to execute, and passion for the work, the people, and the customers are keys to achieving success in this role.
Key Responsibilities may Include:
- Ensure the grounds are open and inviting for all guests by setting up furniture and décor, performing light landscaping such as blowing leaves and debris or maintaining water features, and ensuring that trash is removed and placed in the appropriate receptacles
- Assist in the execution of the design plan by moving and arranging furniture and décor as needed
- Monitor and test on-site equipment as needed
- Partner with maintenance, landscaping, and design teams to ensure any property issues are resolved promptly
- Provide a great atmosphere for our guests and co-workers
Experience:
- Experience in a general labor role preferred
- Experience in hospitality preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to stand or walk for up to eight (8) hours or more in a fast-paced environment requiring movement
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) language skills preferred
