Job Summary:
Inter-Con Security is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee and manage all security clearance processing for Department of State employees through the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The FSO will ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and support all aspects of personnel security, security education, and overall facility security operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and process personnel security clearances (PCLs) for Department of State employees through DCSA’s Defense Information Security System (DISS) and e-QIP.
• Maintain compliance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), ensuring adherence to all security policies and procedures.
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training programs for cleared personnel.
• Maintain security clearance records and databases, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
• Act as the primary liaison with DCSA, Department of State, and other government agencies on clearance-related matters.
• Investigate and report security violations, incidents, and adverse information as required.
• Conduct self-inspections and assist with DCSA audits, ensuring continuous compliance.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of company security policies and procedures.
• Oversee visitor control procedures, badging, and access management for cleared personnel.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transmission of classified information in accordance with government regulations.
