As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that requires an enhanced presence and asset protective services. This position an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.
GSOC Supervisor
The GSOC supervisor is responsible for not only providing primary service support as an operator, but also leading and training a dedicated staff in that service support role as an operator. This role will focus on being in possession of critical thinking skills, problem solving and being detailed oriented. The supervisor works to ensure best practices for the GSOC shift, as well as ensuring and coordinating those practices to be in line with the other shifts.
Main Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day operations of the Global Security Operations Center shift, monitoring and guiding job performance of the shift’s GSOC personnel.
• Coordinating with the GSOC lead to ensure that training is being conducted and documented, as well as followed-up upon.
• Planning, development and coordinating the direction of the monitoring in the GSOC for the shift to deliver maximum value to the organization.
• Develop a plan for maintenance issues and nuisance alarms on the shift, in coordination with the field security team.
• Assume responsibility for ensuring that all GSOC personnel on the shift are up to date on certifications, scheduled yearly training and inspections for the GSOC.
• Management of all responsibilities directly related to the GSOC shift.
• Report of incidents and active issues directly related to the shift’s monitoring.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing or supervising a Security Operations Center, or an operations center that is closely related.
• Strong demonstration of computer skills, including hardware and software, as well as a knowledge of networking and terminology.
• Ability to priority a workload and work in a fast-paced organization, coordinating and managing multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance of training and ability in relation to the other GSOC shifts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in both an individual and a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing for communication effectively with all levels of the organization.
