What You’ll Do:

  • Troubleshooting production equipment to include blenders, scaling systems, sifters, hammer and roller mills and vertical form filling machines.
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems consisting of 120v, 220v, 480v.
  • Possess a working knowledge of AC-DC motors and controls, metering, power distribution, electronics process control computers, welding, conduit, and schematics.
  • Must have working knowledge of all or some of the following: electrical/electronic circuits, PLC’s, wire installation/termination, conduit threading, bending and installation, AC and DC drives and welding.
  • Operation of mobile equipment including forklift, man lift, scissor lift, and overhead cranes.
  • Assist mechanics and operators as necessary.
  • Monitor condition of equipment and make maximum use of planned outages.
  • Participate in safety meetings and dialogs, perform Job Hazard Analysis, and perform Incident Investigations as needed to maintain the safest work environment possible.
  • Take ownership of safety processes; perform maintenance safety program audits (LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment, etc.)
  • Clean, Inspect and charge forklifts nightly.

Note: The spices can create a dusty environment and sometimes have high heat intensity or contain allergens.  If you are sensitive to these conditions, this job may not be the right fit for you.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for & things you need:

  • RELIABILITY - Team members who show up every shift, on time, and can work occasional overtime.  If you’re not ready to commit, this isn’t for you.
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Forklift experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining and repairing production machinery
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience troubleshooting electrical systems and reading schematics
  • Must be able to read and understand schematics/blueprint
  • Must be able to weld in a professional manner 
  • Plumbing experience with PVC, copper, and metal pipes
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. to 100 lbs. frequently
  • Walk long distances
  • Ability to climb on and off a forklift occasionally
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Able to extend arms with hands over the head or at shoulder height
  • Hold, grasp, or turn with the use of hands
  • Touch, pickup, and pinch with the use of fingers
  • Kneel, stoop, or bend downwards and forward
  • Demonstrated basic math and good communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy products weighing up to 100lbs
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Ability to work in a noisy, dusty environment that may contain allergens and spices and with high heat intensity and may be in hot or cold temperatures for long periods.
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders and platforms and work at heights on platforms 6’+
  • Near/far visual acuity and ability to hear machinery alarms is required
  • Ability to follow GMPs.  We make food your family and friends will eat, which means we have strict rules for food safety.  Jewelry, false eyelashes, and fake fingernails are not permitted in the manufacturing plant. If these are things you can’t go without, this job isn’t for you.
