The Role:

Big SNOW is seeking an experienced and passionate resort marketer to join our team and oversee our marketing efforts.  As the Resort Marketing Blazer, you would be responsible for the management, direction and coordination of the Big SNOW’s:  marketing resources, brand standards, advertising, communication, events, promotions and sponsors relations.  This position would work closely with SNOW Partners Chief Marketing and Innovation Officers and report to the resort’s Resort Chief (General Manager).  This position will sit on the Senior Leadership Team.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with SNOW Partner’s executive team to develop seasonal marketing plans and programs that drive visits, revenue, and elevate the overall resort’s brand images, customer experiences, and brand awareness.
  • Plan, execute and manage the resort’s omnichannel marketing efforts and campaigns.
  • Oversee creative direction and content creation including copywriting, graphic design, and video production.
  • Provide regular reporting to Resort GMs and SNOW Partners Executive Leadership on marketing program and product sales performance.
  • Perform regular data analysis of resort’s’ marketing and product sales initiatives to help better inform the resort’s strategies and tactics across their various business units.
  • Manage third party agencies and resources including: graphic design, content creators, digital marketing, media planning, public relations and other marketing related services.
  • Manage and maintain resort’s community relationships and partnerships.
  • Manage and maintain resort’s sponsor relations.

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related brand marketing experience (resort, amusement or hospitality industry experience preferred).
  • 3+ years experience in managing marketing teams as well as outside agencies and vendors.
  • Proven ability to build marketing and advertising plans that reach target audiences and deliver results while staying within a given budget.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Proficiency in office/google suite and comfort with the digital tools and software required for managing digital marketing.
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles. 
  • Intermediate or higher level of skiing/snowboarding ability preferred.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends and travel overnight as required.
  • Ability to work in a year-round winter environment.
  • A team-first attitude and ability to collaborate well with others.
