Position Overview:
The College of Business at Charleston Southern University seeks passionate and dedicated student employees to coach and counsel our fellow students on financial literacy. Assist in fulfilling CSU Mission, Vision and Goals. Provide student with opportunity to receive experience related to educational or career objective. Prepare future graduate with integrity who are critical thinkers, skillful communicators and effective collaborators positioned to perform responsible roles in society
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities vary by role and may include, but are not limited to:
- Peer-to-Peer Financial Coach
- Educate students on personal finance alternatives and solutions through financial discipleship
- Provide presentations on personal finance topics to students, classes, students organizations, and community organization
- Attend weekly continuing education as a part of BUSI 457 Course

Hours:
Part-time, approximately 0-15 hours per week.
Compensation:
Hourly wage, based on university student employment guidelines.

- These roles are intended to provide students with a meaningful employment experience that contributes to both their personal and career development.
- College of Business Student Employment reports to Heather Chadwick.
- Students enrolled in courses during the semester they are working are FICA exempt.
- Students not enrolled in the semester are required to pay FICA taxes.
- Students are not permitted to work during chapel or scheduled class times.
