Position Overview:
The Campus Recreation Department at Charleston Southern University is seeking enthusiastic and committed student employees to support the diverse recreational activities and wellness programs on campus. These roles provide students with the opportunity to engage with their peers, foster a healthy and active campus community, and develop essential leadership and professional skills. Each position plays a vital role in the success of Campus Recreation, contributing to the planning, execution, and management of recreational facilities, events, and programs that enhance the overall student experience at CSU.
Key Responsibilities:

Referee:
- Officiates intramural and recreational sports ensures fair play and adhere to the rules of the sport.
- Enforce rules and regulations
- Manages the game flow
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Attention to Detail
- Proficient in the rules and regulations of varies sporting games
- Independent creativity
- Administrative Skills
- Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Hours:
Part-time, approximately 0-15 hours per week.
Compensation:
Hourly wage, based on university student employment guidelines.

- Campus Recreation Student Employment reports to Nathan Cobb, Director of Campus Recreation.
- Students enrolled in courses during the semester they are working are FICA exempt.
- Students not enrolled in the semester are required to pay FICA taxes.
- Students are not permitted to work during scheduled class times.
