Position Summary
The Logistics Manager will oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials in the organization, control the flow of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods to ensure accurate inventory and world class service levels. The Logistics Manager will oversee warehouse management, inventory control, material handling, transportation, import/export and shipping and receiving operations, including international inbound and outbound shipments. The Logistics Manager will oversee all aspects of department management including hiring, training, employee development, and adherence to safety protocols.

Supervisory responsibilities
- Maintaining a friendly and safe work environment through communication and proper use of equipment per the equipment manufacturer and OSHA standards.
- Champion NetSuite implementation and utilization for Shipping, Receiving and warehouse
- Train all employees
- Conduct interviews and hire new staff as needed
- Address all employee issues in a timely and respectful manner
Warehouse
- Coordinates and controls all shipping, receiving, handling and inventory activities, policies and procedures..
- Oversee warehouse activities to ensure efficient utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw material and finished good inventories.
- Controls warehouse inventory accuracy by assigning warehouse locations, managing access and implementing control procedures.
- Review historical record keeping and address discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
- Coordinates basic warehouse maintenance and safety protocol related to forklifts and aerial lifts.
- Implement and maintain a robust cycle counting process.
- Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
- Work with R&D to create clear storage solutions for R&D products and other non-inventory parts in the warehouse.
- Oversee and complete item receipts, inventory transfers and other ERP transactions.
- Manage small parcel storage and distribution.
Logistics
- Develops a daily logistics plan for the proper and most cost-effective movement of daily shipments and receipts including daily shipping requirements.
- Oversee the Daily creations of shipping lists, Bill of Ladings and reports as pertinent for the Shipping Team, shipping companies and management.
- Oversee and complete item fulfillments and other ERP transactions.
- Use knowledge of product and packaging identification, terminology, coding, & shipping standards to ensure highest quality of product shipments.
- Provides quality customer service through effective communication to achieve on time delivery goals.
- Manage International Inbound container scheduling and auditing.
- Monitor forecasts and current events to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
- Assist in the Selection of carriers and monitor service against performance criteria. Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
- Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency to reduce freight cost.
- Establish all operational policies for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise and customer orders as well as reclamation of damaged merchandise.
