The Role

You will report to the President – Research Division, and work within the Business Development Team. You’ll play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding Bovitz’s client base. This position involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate is results-driven, a skilled communicator, and deeply interested in the intersection of business and market research.

Things You’ll Do

  • Co-create and adhere to a well-organized and reliable sales process with activity-based KPIs and accountability
  • Tap into your personal network and any other pertinent channels to actively seek out and set up calls/meetings with qualified new business prospects
  • Effectively utilize a mix of approaches including cold calling, email, or other forms of communication to ensure a steady and robust stream of qualified leads are consistently added to the sales pipeline
  • Lead the company's business development strategy & execution in conjunction with participation in industry conferences, trade shows, and other events
  • Coordinate and manage networking opportunities, including scheduling meetings with key prospects and organizing exclusive events for attendees
  • Maintain a prospecting database and the action items associated with each lead to ensure effective and efficient business development efforts
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and presentation decks as essential and impactful documents for converting leads into new clients/revenue
  • Coordinate with research teams to ensure new client commitments are delivered, and client relationships grow
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to share feedback and align strategies
  • Advise and collaborate with Account Managers on effective sales strategies to promote existing account growth
  • Ability and willingness to travel when appropriate

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Marketing or related field preferred
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the Market Research and Insights industry
  • Proven track record of experience with establishing, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with current and prospective clients/leads
  • Working knowledge of the sales process and CRM software (HubSpot)
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to balance and progress multiple project components at one time, on tight timelines
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
