Registered Nurse (RN) In-House Coordinator

About Us:
LifeShare leads the field in organ and tissue donation, and our In-House Coordinators are essential in building relationships, educating healthcare professionals, and coordinating donation cases. As a member of our team you will office out of OU Medical Center, you will be part of a dedicated group committed to making a difference in our community.

 

Responsibilities:
As an RN In-House Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting rounds and checking in with nurses on active referrals.
  • Flexible schedule work 4 – 10 hour shifts a week, 8am-6pm with rotating weekends
  • Providing education and in-service training to new nurses.
  • Reporting on quality indicator metrics.
  • Organizing annual education events with physicians.
  • Coordinating all donation cases during and after recovery.
  • Reviewing outcomes with hospital staff.
  • Engaging with families about organ donation and supporting them through the process.
  • Coordinating memory-making activities, honor walks, and flag ceremonies.

Key Duties:

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with hospital contacts.
  • Coordinate and execute educational activities.
  • Implement the strategic plan for donation performance improvements.
  • Sustain best practices for donation within the hospital.
  • Clinically evaluate potential donor patients.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to preserve donation options.
  • Present donation options to legal next-of-kin and provide family support.
  • Obtain authorization for organ and tissue donation.

Qualifications

  • Two years of critical care experience as an RN required!
  • Licensed in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
