Marketing- Manager

General Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Marketing Director, manages activities within all of PME’s divisions, including Casino, Resort, Retail, White Horse Golf Club, and Kiana Lodge as outlined in the annual marketing plan in an effort to increase brand awareness, revenue and customer loyalty. The Marketing Manager will play an integral part in the development and execution of all aspects of PME marketing including gaming and non-gaming initiatives through the development and implementation of relevant marketing plans, to include print ads, website, radio and television commercials, print collateral, press releases, promotions, entertainment, social media, transportation and general advertising.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of marketing personnel to include: Marketing Department office personnel, Entertainment, Promotions, Website, Graphic Department and Transportation to include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, and assigned work, appraising, recognition and corrective action and resolving guest concerns and complaints
  • Plans and oversees execution of promotional activities and entertainment events including print, electronic media, displays and signage
  • Meets on a regular basis with the marketing team to coordinate marketing efforts and review monthly and quarterly marketing plan and strategies
  • Together with the Marketing Director, work collaboratively with PME’s department heads to insure marking events coordinate and compliment the overall company marketing plan and promote an increase in revenue
  • Maintains an awareness of local, regional and industry market trends to aide in analyzing trends and past performance and makes recommendations to gain competitive advantage
  • Works with the graphics team to produce eye appealing signage and collateral as necessary to support the marketing efforts
  • Works collaboratively with the Marketing Director and vendors to create and implement strategic plans for digital, print, broadcast, website, social media, graphic design and public relations and work with various media vendors for advertising and commercial placement
  • Monitors budget expenses for creative, printing, advertising, production, entertainment, and promotions
  • Assists in the development of and contributes to the overall marketing plan and budget
  • Assist in the creation of proformas, proposals, and strategies for all PME marketing initiatives including, but not limited to, advertising, promotions, entertainment, and direct/database marketing
  • Develop strong relationships and proactively communicate with internal and external teams to drive collaboration of marketing initiatives

Secondary Functions:

  • Assists in the bi-weekly processing of departmental payroll
  • Actively participates in the budget process; preparation and monthly profit and loss reports and meetings
  • Assists the Marketing Director in prioritizing team members’ duties
  • Attends outside business community events and meetings (i.e., Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.) to build support and serve as a liaison to the business community
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

Specific Job Skills:

  • Five (5) years of marketing experience (combination of gaming and/or retail, sales & catering), including marketing campaigns, media, advertisement and promotion of special events
  • Verifiable supervisory and leadership experience to include staff development and mentoring
  • Excellent communication skills (including public speaking), with a focus on writing, graphic arts and computer skills
  • Ability to develop and present complex business plans and reports to an audience
  • Knowledgeable of gaming rules and regulations
  • Ability to work with a number of projects and team members simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills and demonstrated ability to work in a high profile and fast pace environment

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, preferred or related experience may be substituted. A combination of demonstrated marketing experience with increased responsibility and educational background to include a broad focus to include, but not limited to, advertising, media, public relations, direct mail and design..

Job Conditions:

Working conditions include working in an office setting with a computer and other equipment. Other working conditions may include working alone, frequent interruptions, evening and/or weekends and working in a smoke-filled environment. Requires being on call 24 hours per day, seven days a week for emergencies.

Physical Requirements:

Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers, adding machine and routine paperwork. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
