As a growing company with multiple locations, we are looking to add to our team a talented Assistant Warehouse Manager who is eager to develop alongside a growing company by assist managing and helping direct all warehouse, receiving, and shipping staff.

What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:

  • Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Completes warehouse operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Responsible for food safety, quality, and legality of food products
  • Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.

Things you need to be able to do:

 

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions and meet deadlines and be able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Computer Skills: Please check off all necessary skills from the following. Order Processing Systems, Payroll Systems, Human Resource Systems, Spreadsheet Software.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates

Things that are a plus:

 

  • 1 to 3 years of management experience required.
  • 5 years warehouse experience.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a complete understanding of all aspects of shift operation.
