Job Purpose:
This position will support the manufacturing processes by applying engineering principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to the optimization of production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvement projects to reduce waste and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights necessary for process optimization.
  • Participate in the design and testing of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the monitoring and analysis of production metrics to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to enhance engineering skills and knowledge.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment is preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives or lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world scenarios.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
