SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate’s degree in paralegal or legal studies or other related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of legal experience required, and 4+ years in legal experience preferred. Experience locating land records and Oklahoma Corporation Commission filings preferred, or willingness to learn such tasks.Â
Court Filings: Experience with state and federal court filings, e-filing systems, and compliance with court rules.
Computer Skills: Skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and legal research tools. Experience with legal document management systems is a plus. Must be willing to learn new technological applications.Â
Certificates & Licenses: Paralegal certification from ABA-approves program is preferred.
Other Requirements: Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills to maintain work lists, organize documents, and monitor deadlines and filings. Ability to ask questions, clarify issues, and provide project updates as needed. Excellent written and oral communication skills (comprehension & expression). Strong command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style. Detail-oriented and ability to create, compose, proof and edit correspondence. Possess sense of initiative and responsibility to manage case load and maintain confidentiality of records and information. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressured environment and maintain case/trial deadlines.Â

Work environment is in a professional office setting. The majority of activity this role performs will be sedentary work.
