Position Summary
Terabase is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer is a key player on the product development team, reporting to the Site Manager Operations and will work closely with our R&D team to develop products that will radically change how large-scale solar utility power plants are constructed.
Responsibilities
• Develop efficient manufacturing processes and provide ongoing evaluation of assembly processes and assembly teams' production efficiencies.
• Develop and test new manufacturing and assembly cells, appropriate jigs, and fixtures to optimize the build process, labor efficiencies, and quality.
• Develop assembly and manufacturing documentation for in-house and external CMs.
• Support developing and optimizing crew training and developing training literature/ manuals.
Minimum Qualifications
• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing and assembly of complex capital equipment or heavy construction equipment
• Experience with standard automation equipment and its operation.
• Solid technical foundation, ability to learn quickly, and ability to frame and drive technical decisions.
• Self-starter, able to thrive in a fast-paced and continually changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• MS in Manufacturing
• Technical understanding of the design, manufacturing and commissioning of advanced automation equipment.
• Experience with welding processes and welding certification
Work Locations
The Terabase Manufacturing Engineering facility is located in Woodland, California. When factories are deployed at customer sites, occasional field work, typically lasting around one week, can be expected.
