POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are seeking a passionate, responsible, retail sales manager for one of our flagship retails stores opening soon! Be a crucial part from the beginning, have a say in design and promotional opportunities both in the store and in the community. Help spread the Byrna products and mission to make a difference in the community by offering an onsite location to learn about our products, test them in a secure range area, and purchase right there!

Responsibilities:

  • Managing retail stores, including store operations, strategic planning, event planning, loss prevention, and budgeting/expense controls.
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service and handle all customer service-related issues.
  • Hiring, training, and supervision of store teams with an emphasis on safety and development of store personnel for additional growth and responsibilities.
  • Execution of key retail metrics to standards including Sales Targets, Conversion, Address Capture, Email Conversion, and Customer Service scores.
  • P&L management, including top-line and bottom-line performance.
  • Specific emphasis on managing labor, refunds, total gross margin, and supplies within budget.
  • Assist in setting marketing and merchandising strategy and ensure high level of execution.
  • Maintaining execution of sales audit controls in all stores, including daily paperwork, receiving/returns, inventory controls, and other paperwork.
  • Maintaining the display and layout of merchandise.
  • Executing physical Inventory controls.
  • Execution of Human Resources initiatives and compliance.
  • Responsible for maintaining staff motivation.
  • Oversee product ordering & inventory replenishment.
  • Plan and execute store events.
  • Some travel required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 7+ years of retail management experience required
  • Organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to push through projects and deliverables after being given necessary instruction.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience with firearms or in a security environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Positive attitude and willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Familiarity with various POS systems is a plus but not required.
