In this role you’ll use your electronics expertise to test, troubleshoot and repair the industry’s number one brand of induction cap sealers and surface treating systems. Work with sophisticated electronic systems and boards with live power at high voltage and frequency up to 20kVac @ 50 kHz. If you have a two-year electrical related degree, or comparable experience, along with a positive attitude and problem solving ability, we will provide the training you need to be successful in this position. Responsibilities

  • Performs incoming inspection on products prior to applying power to ensure safe operation and avoid equipment damage.
  • Sets up machines for testing, making mechanical adjustments and calibration for proper operation.
  • Thoroughly tests functionality of all company products with live power prior to shipment.
  • Records data in the ERP and other computer systems for accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Troubleshoots problems discovered during testing and takes corrective action.
  • Performs inspection on finished products. Ensures conformance to specifications.
  • Programs and tests PCB’s to validate functionality.
  • Performs special tests and projects as required. Prepares and submits related reports.
  • Evaluates and repairs equipment returned by customers bringing it back to full and safe function.
  • Keeps assigned areas safe, neat and orderly.
  • Performs in-house training for customers, and other employees.
  • Identifies and isolates all defective parts, reporting reason for failure if known.
  • Keeps all test equipment in good working order, reporting any malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Reports design errors and suggest improvements.
  • Complies with all company policies and instruction.
  • Recommend modifications of existing procedures and standards to achieve optimum quality and efficiency.
  • Assists in assembly department as time allows.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in an Electronics related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical engineering practices and principles.
  • Aptitude for isolating problems and developing solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of general hand tool use.
  • Skilled in the reading and interpreting of blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity and ability to use multi-meters, oscilloscopes and other electronic measuring devices.
  • Skill in soldering board level components.
  • Ability to perform work while standing or stooping for long periods, and to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • General computer experience in Microsoft Windows environment.
  • ERP knowledge and experience a plus
