Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and analytical support for cost accounting projects when necessary.
  • Under direction of the Controller, conduct detailed general ledger account analysis for inventory, accrual, and capital equipment accounts.
  • Review and process daily invoicing following company policy and procedure
  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with US GAAP;
  • Reconcile and monitor bank accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and documented.
  • Summarize and allocate expenses to the appropriate business departments monthly.
  • Process accounts payable (AP) for accurate account distribution and initiating payments
  • Maintain vendor records and complete annual 1099 reporting
  • Review and journal monthly credit card and expense reports while ensuring compliance with internal policy;
  • Monitors the received-not-invoiced report, notes outstanding invoices, logs packing slips when received and invoices when billed
  • Monitors the shipped-not-invoiced report for timely billing of revenue/shipments
  • Assist in midyear and yearend review activities
  • Support the accounting team with general accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
  • CPA/CMA or CPA/CMA candidate preferred.
  • Prior internship or work experience in a general accounting role preferred
  • Detail oriented, organized, excellent attendance, Excel and keyboarding skills required
  • Team player willing to cross train and back up other accounting roles
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability and willingness to meet critical business deadlines as assigned.
  • Effective analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases including, but not necessarily limited to, Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to learn and be proficient in ERP systems, specifically Epicor, in a short timeframe
