Description Overview: The Game Worker / Event Staff works directly with the Assistant Athletics Director to assist the athletic department with game day operations.

 

Various Duties and responsibilities:

  • Field Set-Up: Prepare field and all game day operations up to 2 hours before the game begins (gate opens hour prior to game time).
  • Chase Balls: Chase balls on sideline.
  • Floor Sweep: Sweeps floor during breaks.
  • Gate & Ticket Booth: Sells tickets.
  • Will Call Booth: Manages people on the pass list.
  • Host: Helps the visiting team & officials w/ any needs.
  • Player Entrance: Managing field access.
  • Game-time Entertainment: Serve as the main contact to organize day of pre- and half-time entertainment.
  • Scorebook: Manages the scorebook.  Must understand statistics for sport.
  • Stats: Develop and understanding of recording stats and writing pre- and post- game stories.
  • Libero: Tracking stats.
