Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent acquisition, workforce development, and community engagement. This role will be pivotal in identifying, attracting, and retaining top talent to meet the needs of employers in the Metro Atlanta area. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that align with the goals of the Skills for America's Future program.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Sourcing & Candidate Identification
    Leverage online platforms (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn) to identify, attract, and engage qualified candidates for open roles. Maintain a steady pipeline of talent aligned with employer requisitions.
  • Candidate Evaluation & Engagement
    Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, verify qualifications, and assess job seeker readiness based on employer criteria. Maintain timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the process.
  • Employer Coordination & Referral Support
    Share vetted candidate profiles with employer partners, coordinate interview scheduling, and gather feedback to support hiring decisions.
  • Talent Pipeline Management
    Accurately track candidate progress and engagement using internal systems and trackers. Monitor outcomes to inform strategy and report on key performance metrics.
  • Recruitment Strategy Alignment
    Collaborate with internal recruitment and program teams to develop and adjust sourcing strategies that meet program goals and employer expectations.
  • Program & Community Collaboration
    Work closely with community-based organizations, workforce partners, and employer relationship managers to align efforts and amplify candidate outreach.
  • Event Support & Outreach
    Participate in virtual and in-person job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities to expand program visibility and connect with job seekers.
  • Labor Market & Industry Insight
    Stay informed on workforce trends, local labor market data, and hiring needs to refine sourcing approaches and ensure relevancy in outreach efforts.

Qualifications: 

  • 2–3 years of experience in talent acquisition, sourcing, recruiting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in digital sourcing platforms (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn) and familiarity with ATS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple candidates and requisitions simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently while actively contributing to a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to community impact and advancing employment opportunities for underserved populations.
  • Knowledge of workforce development programs or previous experience working with diverse talent pools is a plus

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills in deadline-driven environments.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit and ability to work across departments.
  • Confident in presenting information to employers, job seekers, and partners in a clear and professional manner.
  • Deep understanding of recruitment lifecycle and candidate engagement best practices.
  • Familiarity with the Metro Atlanta workforce development ecosystem, including regional partners and initiatives.
  • Prior experience in a workforce development organization, nonprofit, or community-based employment program.
