Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Credit Compliance & Multifamily Property Management Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations and assisting in the management of multifamily properties. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of tax credit compliance, tenant file reviews, and property management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough tenant file reviews to ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet all local, state, and federal housing guidelines.
  • Assist in the leasing and recertification process, ensuring proper income verification and eligibility.
  • Work closely with property managers, site staff, and compliance teams to maintain program integrity.
  • Train and educate property management teams on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Respond to audits, inspections, and regulatory agency requests, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Monitor and update compliance policies to align with industry changes and regulatory updates.
  • Assist in resolving tenant disputes and ensure proper lease enforcement.
  • Support property management operations, including budgeting, reporting, and resident relations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in LIHTC compliance and multifamily property management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal and state housing laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in property management software (RealPage, OneSite).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in tax credit compliance (e.g., HCCP, COS, C3P)
