FSS/SPARK Coordinator

SUMMARY:

The FSS/SPARK Coordinator serves as a liaison between Cincinnati Works and the POAH communities to facilitate participation in the FSS (Family Self-Sufficiency) program, referred to as SPARK* by CW for marketing purposes. Collaborates with CW staff and develops close working relationships with POAH staff and residents.

*SPARK stands for Strategy, Power, Achievement, Resiliency, and Knowledge

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

FSS/SPARK PROGRAMMING

  • Create marketing materials to explain and promote the program benefits
  • Provide material for POAH newsletters to spotlight the FSS/SPARK program’s activities and successes
  • Recruit POAH residents into SPARK in collaboration with POAH staff
    • Explain the program benefits
    • Assist residents in enrolling to become participants, including overseeing the 3 signed document packets required to be officially enrolled in SPARK:
      • POAH/FSS documents
      • CW intake
      • Financial Coaching documents
  • Work with POAH Accounting to ensure the accuracy of eligibility
  • Coordinate with CW Financial Coach to ensure participants attend sessions at least twice annually
  • Report monthly escrow amounts to Financial Coach for net worth updates
  • Celebrate achievements and milestones of residents

REPORTING

    • Track SPARK participant data in Salesforce, Change Machine, and other databases
    • Update enrollment information via Compass for quarterly reporting
    • Complete annual HUD reporting by resident building
      • Document net worth and develop a plan to build it
    • Review monthly escrow reports from POAH Accounting and update net worth

Other duties as assigned by direct management.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Passion for the vision and mission of Cincinnati Works, a commitment in working with adults from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and a belief in their resiliency.
  • Communicates effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Operates a variety of office equipment and possesses strong computer software skills; Outlook, Salesforce, Word, Excel, Internet etc. including the maintenance of a variety of databases.
  • Maintains daily; files/records, logs and tracking to ensure current and organized activity for timely follow-up of direct Member and partner services.
  • Utilize time management techniques to organize and prioritize work.
  • Coordinates a variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal/team building skills to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals and groups.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 5+ years of working with at-risk populations
    • Strong data-tracking skills
    • Capacity to work flexible hours
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to work in diverse groups
    • Passion for the vision and mission of Cincinnati Works

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:

    • Must be able to lift some moderately heavy items, such as a carton of paper
    • Ability to remain calm and collected in busy environments
