Madrid CFTL is a growing engineering firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, drilling services, and laboratory testing services. We are looking for a driven and experienced Regional Manager (PE) to lead strategic growth, oversee operations, and drive client engagement across Florida.

Position Summary

As Regional Manager, you’ll serve as a strategic leader and business builder for our western Florida operations. This is a doer/seller role: you’ll cultivate relationships, secure contracts, and lead project execution—balancing technical excellence with business acumen.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams and drive top-line revenue growth through partnerships, client outreach, and service expansion, all while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operations within your assigned region—including engineering, field, laboratory, and drilling services.
  • Serve as a client-facing executive, maintaining and expanding relationships with owners, contractors, developers, and industry partners.
  • Actively pursue and secure new business opportunities; participate in proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction across service lines.
  • Mentor, support, and develop staff while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align regional performance with broader organizational goals.
 

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

  • Licensed PE or PG in the State of Florida or have the ability to secure licensure through reciprocity within six months of joining.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering and/or construction materials testing.
  • Proven business development track record with established relationships across Florida.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with P&L experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes, FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and other regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
