SUMMARY

This position independently oversees all aspects of the SVDP’s talent acquisition activities and supports on-boarding initiatives. Developing and maintaining a progressive recruiting brand utilizing all potential avenues is expected. The position carries the responsibility for overseeing key areas of the full recruiting lifecycle; job posting, initial screening, on-boarding of candidates, data management, and program credentialing. The position reports to the Senior Director, Talent Management. The position works closely with other Program Directors and the Human Resources team.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

Recruiting

  • Develop a continuous recruitment model to find the best talent for the company.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Director, Talent Management and Chief People Office; Develop and implement a staffing plan with forecast for each program.
  • Develop a company recruiting brand; modeled after company branding in marketing and development department.
  • Manage Job Postings (internal, website, academia, traditional media, social media, referral, staffing firms, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain an online recruiting presence. Using a diverse mix of recruiting tools and websites.
  • Maintain recruiting reports for candidates and interview processes.
  • Maintain an applicant tracking system, to ensure an adequate pipeline of candidates.
  • Pre-screen potential candidates prior to hiring manager interview(s).
  • Facilitate interview process for each opening.

Employee Onboarding

  • Work with the Senior Director, Talent Management to formulate job offer letters and start dates.
  • Ensure clear communication of onboarding requirements and timeline.
  • Maintain on-boarding reports for candidates and timely update required documents within organization databases.
  • Partner with program leadership to ensure all required credentialing documents are up to date and accepted by required parties.
  • Constant communication with anticipated new hires to support the transition into St. Vincent De Paul.
  • Upon acceptance of job offer letter, ensure all required credentialing and on-boarding is completed and maintained for employment files.
  • Support New Employee Orientation led by the Human Resources team.

 

SECONDARY DUTIES

  • Conduct on-boarding meetings with new hires to gather information and data points surrounding on-boarding experience.
  • Support maintenance of PCN spreadsheet.
  • Ensure that each department is ready for the new-hire: Send out companywide email introducing new hire. Liaise with IT to ensure PC, email and phone, parking information and ID’s are available and ready for new hire upon start date.
  • Support business card order requests.
  • Hold all employee and company information confidential.
  • Other job responsibilities, as needed within the scope of the position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.   
  • 2 years of recruiting experience with the ability to successfully drive companywide recruiting initiatives.
  • Experienced working with staffing agencies, onboarding experience, knowledge of current employment laws, and experience social media recruiting tools
  • Strong technical aptitude with databases, Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain proper documentation.
  • Desire and willingness to learn and receive feedback positively.
  • Desire and willingness to work independently.
  • Positive communication skills with a seek to understand mindset.
  • Attention to detail, strong listening skills and the ability to partner with multiple department leaders.
