Job Description: Warehouse Operator / Shipping Clerk
As a warehouse operator/shipping clerk, the candidate will play a crucial role in managing and tracking the shipment of outbound purchase orders directly related to the company's online eCommerce division including but not limited to preparing and packaging orders for dispatch, creating shipping labels, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, the candidate will coordinate outbound shipments with preferred carriers, handle customer inquiries, and maintain proper inventory records in the ERP system to ensure efficient operations. Secondary obligations include unloading delivery trucks, loading company vehicles, stocking warehouse shelves, and performing essential clerical duties related to the warehouse. The candidate will also be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments and returns (RMAs) to ensure accurate data logging and processing.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Stock shelves, receive goods, verify inventory, and accurately record data using a warehouse scanner.
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse stock and prepare outgoing orders for daily shipments.
- Efficiently and securely pack items for shipment, ensuring all shipping standards and procedures are met.
- Keep track of stock levels and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately review, stage, and ship online dropship orders.
- Print and attach required shipping labels and documentation on all outgoing packages.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and tracking numbers.
- Receive and process returns and warranty claims, examine all goods and provide disposition as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and fellow team members regarding pending shipments, order status, and returns.
- Accurately enter required shipping records and tracking information within the company’s ERP.
- Address and resolve any shipping discrepancies or order-related matters promptly.
