Status:                 Full-time, 35 hours a week 
Location:             Philadelphia, PA (HYBRID) 
Salary:                 $52,000.00-$56,000.00 commensurate with experience
Start Date:          As soon as possible

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the leadership of the Development and Communications Specialist, the Donor Database and Events Coordinator will play a key role in our growing fundraising department, primarily by providing expertise and support in donor database management, donation processing, donor communication, and events management. Minimum of 2 years of fundraising Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) experience required (Bloomerang, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, etc.)

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee the accuracy and integrity of the donor database (Bloomerang);
  • Enter timely and edit accurately all donationsgifts, including online, employer portal, donor advised funds, ACH, check, and credit card;
  • Work closely with accounting on reconciling deposits and donation documentation;
  • Produce and update acknowledgments, tribute cards, and donor communications;
  • Communicate with donors via email/phone/in person as needed; 
  • Regularly review and update the database, maintain manual, train and monitor new users, and govern new policies;
  • Help grow and diversify the donor base by identifying prospects and creating reports;
  • Support mailing and event appeals by segmenting donors, creating and editing mailing lists; managing inventory;
  • Produce and edit donor list for Annual Report;
  • Provide logistical support to Development Committee;
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Development as needed; 
  • Support the planning, implementation and stewardship of private and large donor events including working with vendors; monitoring expenses and submitting check requests; tracking registration, donations and sponsorships; 
  • Proactively seek webinar opportunities and provide suggestions for database improvement;
  • Other duties as assigned;

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this role will be detail-oriented and have 2-3 years of fundraising Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) experience, preferably Bloomerang.  Have experience managing event logistics, including registration, vendor interaction, and customer service.  Have a strong commitment to accuracy and understand the importance of data integrity for fundraising.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Bloomerang or similar CRM
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in processing donations and generating acknowledgments 
  • Precise data entry, follow-up, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, resourceful, ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail 
  • Maintain professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality at all times 
  • Commitment to and passion for HIAS Pennsylvania’s mission to advocate for immigrants 
  • Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings for events required.

HIAS Pennsylvania is currently working on a hybrid work model. HIAS Pennsylvania requires all staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the exception of those with an approved medical or religious belief exemption.
