Summary

Under the general direction and guidance from the National Manager, the Manager - Human Resources position administers all facets of human resources activities within the organization. This position is responsible for implementing and managing HR policies, programs, and initiatives that foster a positive work environment, drive employee engagement, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The HR Manager will collaborate with leadership, managers, and employees to address various HR-related needs and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Primary
    • Employee, Labor, and Team Relations
      • Responsible for managing workplace dynamics by addressing conflicts, resolving employee grievances, and ensuring adherence to company policies and legal regulations
      • Manage investigations, facilitate communication, provide coaching on conflict resolution, and contribute to a positive work environment through effective engagement strategies
      • Fosters open communication, mediating disputes, analyzing data, and collaborating with various teams to promote positive employee-employer relationships
      • Ensures organizational HR practices align with relevant federal and state laws and regulations
      • Maintains a compliant and ethical workplace environment by staying updated on changing regulations and proactively addressing any compliance-related issues
    • Local Compensation, Payroll and Benefits Administration
      • Responsible for implementing and managing the local facility compensation and benefits programs
        • Organize staff efforts to ensure the timely billing of all local benefits programs each month
      • Act as the intermediary between the local unit and HQ shared services, administering all payroll actions timely and accurately
      • Propose, devise, and implement necessary revisions to the pay structure
      • Overseeing performance-based incentive programs; ensuring compliance with compensation laws and regulations
  • Secondary
    • Facility-Specific Talent Acquisition
      • Oversees the recruitment and hiring process for their respective department or facility; focused on securing top talent that aligns with the company's goals while enhancing the recruitment experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders
      • Responsible for developing recruitment strategies, sourcing and attracting qualified candidates, conducting interviews and assessments, coordinating hiring efforts, collaborating with hiring managers, and managing job postings
      • Maintain positive relationships with external recruitment agencies ensuring compliance with service agreements
    • Performance Management: Collaborate with managers to address performance-related matters, offering guidance on coaching, improvement plans, and disciplinary actions as needed
    • Employee Communication: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to enhance transparency, engagement, and awareness among employees about company initiatives, changes, and expectations
  • Tertiary
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes
    • Mediation and Coaching: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on conflict resolution techniques and approaches
    • Ensure all Ad Hoc report requests are fulfilled and delivered in a timely manner
      • All other HR-related duties as required

Compensation

$101,000- $113,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience as an HR manager or in a similar senior HR role
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive HR information

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 7 - 10 Years of Direct Experience in Human Resources Management Required
    • 8 - 13 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
  • 1 Year of Indirect Experience Required
    • 3 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
  • 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
    • 4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
  • Training in Labor Relations Preferred
  • PHR or SPHR Preferred

Physical Requirements
